Nicole and I loved making season 1 of our NGSS podcast that we decided to do it again. And the wait is over. Season 2 of the Teaching Science in 3D podcast is live!
What can I look forward to on Season 2?
I don’t want to give it all away, but here are a few of the topics that we are covering in Season 2.
- Crosscutting Concepts: We emphasized the Science and Engineering Practices in Season 1 to help you understand a discovery-based method of instruction. The Crosscutting Concepts provide so many ways for you to help your students take the connections that they are making in your classroom to a whole new level.
- Standards-Based Grading: We often get asked what standards-based grading looks like in an NGSS aligned classroom. This episode will answer all of those questions and more.
- Vocabulary: Learn where vocabulary fits in your instructional sequences and how to teach it in your NGSS aligned classroom.
- Assessment: 3-dimensional assessments can be difficult to create. This episode will provide you will some practical strategies that you can use to create assessments for your classroom.
